Building Construction
In the building construction sector thermoplastic hot-melt powders are mostly used for roofing constructions / roofing films. Next to this main application adhesive powders are also used in insulation materials, floor covering or wall and ceiling elements.
Polyolefins or polyolefin blends together with flam retard additives are applied by means of scatter coating onto the substrates which needs to be bonded together. The grain sizes has to be adapted to the specification of bonding.
A flat bed press for the lamination after the scatter head allows the best results for heat sensitive substrates.
